Analisis Komparatif Open Feedwater Heater dan Closed Feedwater Heater dalam Upaya Optimasi Siklus Rankine
Abstract
Peningkatan kebutuhan energi listrik menuntut efisiensi termal yang lebih baik pada pembangkit listrik agar pasokan energi tetap stabil dan berkelanjutan. Salah satu cara meningkatkan efisiensi siklus Rankine adalah dengan memanfaatkan feedwater heater, yang menggunakan panas sisa untuk memanaskan air umpan sebelum masuk ke boiler. Artikel ini membahas perbedaan antara Open Feedwater Heater (OFWH) dan Closed Feedwater Heater (CFWH) serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja siklus Rankine. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan feedwater heater dapat meningkatkan efisiensi termal hingga 2%, meskipun ada penurunan daya bersih akibat ekstraksi uap dari turbin. Studi ini merekomendasikan kombinasi OFWH dan CFWH untuk memaksimalkan efisiensi dan mengurangi konsumsi energi. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ini dengan pembangkit berbasis energi terbarukan serta mengembangkan sistem pemantauan yang lebih canggih guna meningkatkan keandalan operasional.
