Abstract

This research explores how culture, social behavior, and ideology shape the foreign policies of the two countries and examines their impact on the promotion and protection of human rights in the international dynamics of each country. The theoretical framework emphasizes the importance of national culture in foreign policy formulation and its interaction with human rights considerations. Adopting a comparative approach, this study aims to identify similarities and differences between Sweden and Indonesia in terms of how cultural factors influence foreign policy decisions related to human rights. This case study provides a deeper understanding of the factors driving foreign policy choices and how national culture interacts with human rights considerations in shaping those decisions. The implications of this research highlight the importance of understanding the role of national culture in shaping foreign policy and its influence on human rights issues. Overall, this research contributes to the field of international relations by providing valuable insights into the intersections of national culture, human rights, and foreign policy, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in addressing global challenges in culturally diverse contexts.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana budaya, perilaku sosial, dan ideologis membentuk kebijakan luar negeri kedua negara dan mengkaji dampaknya terhadap pemajuan dan perlindungan hak asasi manusia dalam dinamika internasional masing-masing negara. Kerangka teoritis menekankan pentingnya budaya nasional dalam perumusan kebijakan luar negeri dan interaksinya dengan pertimbangan hak asasi manusia. Dengan mengadopsi pendekatan komparatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesamaan dan perbedaan antara Swedia dan Indonesia dalam hal bagaimana faktor budaya mempengaruhi keputusan kebijakan luar negeri terkait dengan hak asasi manusia. Studi kasus ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang faktor-faktor yang mendorong pilihan kebijakan luar negeri dan bagaimana budaya nasional berinteraksi dengan pertimbangan hak asasi manusia dalam membentuk keputusan tersebut. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya memahami peran budaya nasional dalam membentuk kebijakan luar negeri dan pengaruhnya terhadap isu-isu hak asasi manusia. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada bidang hubungan internasional dengan memberikan wawasan yang berharga kepada persimpangan budaya nasional, hak asasi manusia, dan kebijakan luar negeri, sehingga mendorong pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kompleksitas yang terlibat dalam mengatasi tantangan global dalam konteks keragaman budaya.
