FORMULASI DAN UJI STABILITAS FISIK SEDIAAN SHAMPO DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN PARE (Momordica charantia Linn.)
Abstract
Shampo merupakan sediaan kosmetik yang fungsi utamanya untuk membersihkan rambut dan kulit kepala. Secara empiris daun pare dahulu digunakan masyarakat untuk mengatasi masalah rambut. Sediaan shampo diformulasikan dengan menambahkan ekstrak etanol daun pare dengan variasi konsentrasi sebesar 1%, 2%, 3%, dan 4%. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian cycling test dan uji stabilitas fisik dengan cara sediaan shampo disimpan pada suhu rendah, suhu ruang, dan suhu tinggi selama 8 minggu, dimana setiap dua minggu dilakukan evaluasi berupa organoleptis, homogenitas, pemeriksaan pH, bobot jenis, viskositas dan sifat alir, tegangan permukaan, serta stabilitas busa.Data yang didapatkan berupa data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif, dimana data kuantitatif kemudian diuji statistik dengan metode ANOVA tipe two way menggunakan software SPSS versi 15.0.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak ditemukan adanya pemisahan fase dan keempat formulasi sediaan shampo stabil pada penyimpanan suhu rendah, suhu ruang, serta suhu tinggi selama 8 minggu. Formula yang menunjukan stabilitas fisik optimum yaitu sediaan shampo dengan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun pare sebesar 1%.

ABSTRACT
Shampoo is a cosmetic preparation which is made to clean hair and scalp. Empirically pare leaves have been used to resolve hair problem. The shampoo has been formulated by adding etanol extract which varied from 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%. Then cycling test and physical stability test by shampoo which stored in low temperature, room temperature, and high temperature for eight weeks, where every two week in the evaluation of organoleptic, homogenity, pH examination, specific gravity, viscosity & rheology, surface tension, and foam stability. The acquired data are qualitative and quantitative, which is quantitative data are acquired the tested statistics by two way type ANOVA method with SPSS software ver. 15.0. The result was not found phase separation and all four formulations is stable at low temperature, room temperature, and high temperature for eight weeks. Formula showed optimum physical stability is the shampoo which contans 1% of etanol extract of pareleaves.
