Author Guidelines

Penulis melakukan registrasi di jurnal PROMEDIA (Public Relation dan Media Komunikasi) http://journal.uta45jakarta.ac.id/index.php/kom/index. Penulis dapat menyatakan kesediaan sebagai penulis, pembaca dan reviewer.

Penulis membuat tulisan yang mencakup ruang lingkup berdasarkan scope jurnal

Penulis memantau perkembangan proses distribusi naskah dari tahap review hingga editing untuk memastikan kelayakan naskah

Penulis wajib mematuhi Etika Publikasi.

1. Standar Pelaporan: Penulis harus menyajikan laporan akurat dari riset asli yang dilakukan serta diskusi objektif tentang signifikansinya. Para peneliti harus menyajikan hasil penelitian mereka secara jujur dan tanpa fabrikasi, pemalsuan atau manipulasi data yang tidak tepat. Naskah harus mengandung detail dan referensi yang cukup untuk memungkinkan orang lain mereplikasi pekerjaan. Pernyataan yang curang atau dengan sengaja tidak akurat merupakan perilaku yang tidak etis dan tidak dapat diterima. Naskah harus mengikuti pedoman pengajuan jurnal.
2. Orisinalitas dan Plagiarisme: Orisinalitas dan Plagiarisme: Penulis harus memastikan bahwa naskahnya merupakan karya aslinya. Naskah tidak boleh diserahkan secara bersamaan ke lebih dari satu publikasi kecuali para editor telah setuju untuk melakukan publikasi bersama. Karya dan publikasi sebelumnya yang relevan, baik oleh peneliti lain maupun milik penulis, harus benar-benar dinyatakan dan direferensikan. Literatur utama harus dikutip jika memungkinkan. Kata-kata asli yang diambil langsung dari publikasi oleh peneliti lain harus muncul dalam tanda kutip dengan kutipan yang sesuai.
3. Publikasi Ganda atau Bersamaan: Penulis tidak boleh mengirimkan naskah yang sama ke lebih dari satu jurnal secara bersamaan. Mengirimkan naskah yang sama ke lebih dari satu jurnal merupakan perilaku yang tidak etis dan tidak dapat diterima. Publikasi ganda yang berasal dari sebuah proyek penelitian harus diidentifikasi dengan jelas dan harus merujuk publikasi utama.
4. Pengakuan Sumber: Penulis harus mengakui dan mengutip semua sumber data yang digunakan dan berpengaruh dalam karyanya. Pengakuan yang sesuai atas karya orang lain harus selalu diberikan.
5. Kepengarangan Naskah: Kepengarangan terhadap sebuah naskah harus menggambarkan konribusi individu atas karyanya. Karangan harus dibatasi bagi mereka yang telah membuat kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap konsepsi, desain, pelaksanaan atau interpretasi dari studi yang dilaporkan. Orang lain yang telah membuat kontribusi signifikan harus tercantum sebagai rekan penulis. Dalam kasus di mana kontributor utama terdaftar sebagai penulis, sementara mereka yang kurang kontribusinya pada penelitian atau publikasi tercantum dalam bagian pengakuan (ucapan terima kasih). Penulis juga memastikan bahwa semua penulis telah melihat dan menyetujui versi naskah yang dikirimkan dan memasukkan nama mereka sebagai rekan penulis.
6. Pengungkapan Konflik Kepentingan: Dalam naskahnya, semua penulis harus mengungkapkan setiap konflik keuangan atau substantif yang mungkin mempengaruhi hasil atau interpretasi naskah mereka. Semua sumber dukungan keuangan atas proyek harus diungkapkan.
7. Kesalahan Mendasar dalam Karya yang Dipublikasi: Jika penulis menemukan kesalahan dalam naskah yang dikirimkan, maka penulis harus segera memberi tahu editor jurnal atau penerbit dan bekerjasama dengan editor untuk menarik kembali atau memperbaiki naskahnya.

Authors must comply with the Ethics of Publication.

Author's Task:
1. Reporting Standards: The author must present an accurate report of the original research carried out as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Researchers must present the results of their research honestly and without fabrication, falsification or manipulation of data that is not appropriate. The manuscript must contain enough detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior. Manuscripts must follow the journal submission guidelines.
2. Originality and Plagiarism: Originality and Plagiarism: The author must ensure that the manuscript is the original work. Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one publication unless the editors have agreed to make a joint publication. Previous works and relevant publications, both by other researchers and those of the authors, must be clearly stated and referenced. Main literature should be quoted if possible. Original words taken directly from publications by other researchers must appear in quotation marks with appropriate quotes.
3. Multiple or Concurrent Publications: Authors may not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Submitting the same text to more than one journal is unethical and unacceptable behavior. Multiple publications originating from a research project must be clearly identified and must refer to the main publication.
4. Recognition of Sources: The author must acknowledge and cite all sources of data used and influence in his work. Appropriate recognition of the work of others must always be given.
5. Authorship: The authorship of a text must describe the individual's contribution to his work. Essay must be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contributions must be listed as co-authors. In cases where the main contributors are listed as writers, those who are not contributing to the research or publication are listed in the acknowledgment (thank you) section. The author also ensures that all authors have seen and agreed to the version of the manuscript sent and entered their names as co-authors.
6. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: In the text, all authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflict that might affect the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.
7. Fundamental Mistakes in Published Works: If the writer finds errors in the manuscript sent, the writer must immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
