UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK METANOL DAN FRAKSI ETILASETAT DAUN KETEPENG CINA (Casia alata L)

ABSTRACT
The aims of this research is to determine the activity of antibacterial of methanol extract and ethyl acetat of ketepeng cina leaves (Casia alata L.). The bacteria that was use in this determination are S. aureus and B. cereus (Positive gram bacteria). The results of this research showed that the activity of this methanol extract sample with cintentration 8 mg/ml has a strong inhibitory potency against the growth of S. aureus and B. cereus colony, with inhibitory zone of each are 16,1 and 11,0 mm, and for E.coli is 10,6 m, and S.thypi is 5,9 mm. At the same concentrationfor for ethyl acetat fraction was show antibacetria activity. The results of determination show there is a strong inhibitory potency against S. aureus, and B. cereus, with the inhibitory of each are 14,3 mm and 18,1 mm, and has moderate inhibitory potency against E. coli and S. thyphi with inhibitory zone of each are 9,0 mm dan 5,7 mm.
